I just got a new place to hunt near my house and have been mowing out there. I would like to just broadcast something out there without breaking it up. I have done food plots in East Texas my whole life but I've never seen deep sandy soil like this place has. What should I put out there? Will anything grow well in sand?

I second Cereal Rye. It really like sandy soil and grows really well in the fall. If you fertilize it and there is not enough grazing pressure it will get out of hand though. Lol.
I recommend dragging the ground a bit to cover the seed the best you can as it is not really a throw and grow seed.
