Been trying to take some wildlife photos and I am looking for a camera that does not make any digital racket when turning it on, taking the pictures and zooming in and out any advice on what to look for??

Cameras are going to make noise. The zoom on a point and shoot is noisy, and won't have the range to pull in distant shots. It's also noisy on startup. A DSLR will have mirror and shutter noise, but the zoom is quiet. It is also quiet when you turn it on. If I was shooting at bow range, in a popup, I would wrap a black towel around a DSLR to muffle the sound.

Digital slr. I've taken pics at 20 yds and the deer didn't hear it. If it's a real still morning, I think they could hear it from 40 or 50.

I have taken pics and filmed deer and they never even pick up their heads at the camera noise. But let your foot rub a twig against the expanded metal on a tripod and they just run away without even looking. There were 17 deer and several were within 10 yards.

I shoot a canon eos60d and Iove it. If you are looking for quiet, look into a dslr. You don't have to go out and spend thousands of dollars either. I started with a rebel t3 and it was more camera than I could ever need. The only reason I upgraded was bc my brother sold me his eos60d for $200 with a nice Zeiss prime lens
