Looking to see who has hunted here how is the deer there?

Hey, be sure to get a Type II permit when you get your license. Just thought about that after talking to you earlier. I think that is a type II public place.

Part is type 2 part is corps land and theres a part that's the military base

The military base is off limits. There is a wma that requires a permit. The rest of it is corp land, and is open to the general public without requiring any special permits. A very good 10 or 12 point is killed out there every so often. There's alot of hunters, but even more land, so it's not real crowded. It's like a ghost town during archery only season, except for lazy rednecks scouting way too late.

The WMA is closed opening weekend archery for youth squirrel/hog hunt . There are decent deer and hogs both. Have limited knowledge on the corps land,but saw 3 decent bucks last year in the rain opening weekend.
