Did you take them to the skeet range? Just throw clays on your property? Just let them watch you the first couple of dove seasons and then let they start on live birds?
If I owned property or had a dove lease, I'd probably just go out and throw some clays, but I don't have that option; I can only dove hunt public. It can get expensive at a skeet range, and on top of that, I'm not convinced that a range wouldn't be a somewhat frustrating venue to learn for a kiddo.
