AR at Academy.... Man I'm a bonehead

So....
I went to academy in Victoria this morning and the have an AR that says price drop $629! I'm waiting behind two other customers. One waiting for a real the other checking out going through paperwork on a new handgun. I had to leave to go pick up my wife. I pick her up and head straight back to Academy. Gone for less than an hour. And as you can guess there is an empty spot where the AR sat earlier!! I ask the guy at the counter and he said someone walked in 15 minutes after I left and bought it! Learned my lesson next time my wife gets to sit and wait on me!!!!

I would bet it was a carbon or plastic style lower. IMO not worth $700 after tax.....

My feelings haven't been hurt yet and and I've banged over 5000 rounds through mine (AP4) without a hiccup or pampering it while hot with the barrel smoking away. Mine must have had sensitivity training at the factory or may be it because I use that Frog Lube stuff!

The low end entry level rifles seem to do just fine for most people as do the 650.00 AK's and the 300.00 SKS'. I have some of each.
