My wife and I want to go there during our son's spring break in early March next year. Other than a visit to some friends that live north of Boulder we do not yet have plans on what to do or where to go. I would like to spend a couple days in an area then relocate to another unless there is central area that can accommodate my short list so far.....I would like to go skiing and possibly do some fly fishing while there. Other than that I don't have much to go on at this time. I have never been, and want to go. Thanks in advance. We will drive there.

I'm not sure about that time of year but there is lots to do around Durango and Pagosa springs. We were always there in the summer or early fall though. Bar d ranch out of durango has a great dinner and western show. Horse back riding in the mountains is awesome. White water rafting ( probably too cold that time of year). Its beautiful there. Wish it was closer -
Colorado Springs is nice and if you go to that area the Garden of the Gods is a must see. I went there a few years back and it was a great place to go.Comment

SouthFork is good for what you have mentioned. Skiing, fly fishing, although the river is pretty well frozen over when it is ski season. Creede is not to far from there as well as Pagosa Springs.Comment

We just stayed in the Breckinridge area a couple of weeks ago.
Lot, s of lakes and rivers to fish, Tarryall, lake jefferson, and countless rivers.Comment
