New to Go Pro and need help!!

Im new to this whole GoPro thing and filming hunts/fishing trips but for some reason I cannot get the volume to work correctly on my videos? Seems like whenever there is any kind of wind or movement, the volume gets fuzzy and then shuts off on my video. I am using the head strap attachment and I imagine it just has something to do with the settings I am on but this is getting really fustrating because its ruining all of my videos.

    Any help or suggestions?

I'd suggest taking it back. I had the Black for about 10 days before I took it back. It was just too buggy, even with the latest firmware installed.

Volume is not going to be very good, especially with the waterproof case.
The skeleton case has a little better audio but not the best either.

That's why most videos have music as the audio.

What kind of problems were you having?

I have a Hero2 and have been considering upgrading to the Hero3.
Other than certain SD cards not working with it, I haven't heard of many problems.

You can find lots of answers and tips here

Go to the GoPro website and look up the recommended the class 10 micro sd

          Love my Black Hero 3.

Yeah I figured that but I would expect at minimum to be able to hear a gun shot or a little dialouge. I will give the skeleton case a try and see if that helps. Thank you!

This, and the skeleton case will help with the audio portion.

Read the post towards the end, cause Gopro recommends specific brand sd cards.

I ended up with the Samsung for it faster processing speed over others in its class.

May sound a bit crazy, but on my Hero 2, I drilled a hole around the microphone spot on the camera to help with sound.

That's not help. I have the hero black edition and other than me sucking at editing I haven't had any issues with it

I mounted mine on my shotgun last year while hunting doves and the gunshot sounded similar to hitting an empty plastic barrel with a closed hand, just a simple, sort of quiet thud. Voices are muffled almost to the point of not being understandable.
I got a skeleton case to allow me to leave the cables hooked up to a 12V battery in order to extend my battery life while hunting. It was set up about 5 yards behind the feeder, with me in a tree about 20yards on the other side of feeder. It picked up the bow noise when I shot.

This is a good option if you will never use the camera under water or anywhere it might fall into the water.
