    Anybody Ever Have Shingles?

I developed a rash on my torso a couple of days ago. Itches really bad but is not painful to touch. I do have more pain than usual on my left side mostly in my arm. I'll go see the Doc tomorrow but thought I'd get the GS diagnoses first!

Kind of like chicken pox but lots worse. Has to run it's course. The Dr. can give you medicine to help a little bit. Good luck if it's the shingles.

Could be shingles. Sometimes it itches, and sometimes burns. Usually starts as little fluid filled blisters..

I have had them. Very painful. Feels like someone is stabbing you with an ice pick. Usually have the pain around your back and then you will get a fester on the front side of your body. Hurts really bad.

Had them at the ripe old age of 27 years old. Took me the longest time to figure out I had it cuz I thought it was an exclusively "old people's sickness".

It can get unbearable at times but eventually goes away. Had it all over one side on my ribcage and upper back.

I would say that looks like shingles to me. I had them one time about 12 years ago and they were not fun. I was lucky I did not have the severe pain that some have with them but I did have some pain. Its a virus that can stay dormant in your spinal column and with you for many many years and suddenly take hold. It runs with the nerves that run from the spin around your body.....like shingles, hence the name.
I had a buddy that fought them for a few years and had such horrible pain he could hardly walk or sleep. He continue to shoot his bow daily but had to sit to do it. The other shooters would pull his arrows for him.
Good luck and get to the doctor!!

Looks like it. They can be VERY painful. Doc will likely give you Valtrex and hydrocodone for the pain. Been there, done that. Man I was miserable.

I've had them and they are no fun. I went to the doctor and she told me that I did indeed have them. She asked me if they hurt and I told her no. She said that they will before it is all over. And man she was right. Worst stuff I ever had. She gave me a couple of different medicines and one of them was to numb my skin. It worked too. My wife noticed that it worked well. ha ha

                      Good luck with em man!

THE WORST PAIN YOU'LL EVER ENDURE! Had. It back in May and and in one day it turned to this. Hyrocodone, narco10, and lidocaine will be your best friends along with something 90 proof. Went back to work 2 days later and was absolutely miserable till it started to subside 3 weeks later. I feel for you my friend, I truly do.

I had it right between the eyes, right at the hair line. Mine itched like crazy for about a week. Went to the doctor and he said shingles. Got a shot. THEN, the pain set in!!
Worst headache I ever had. For over a week!!!! At one point, I told the wife to shoot me in the head!!
