    Need some advice

So last year my wife and I began renting a house and we have had no major problems, however everything in the house is electric except the heat it's propane. Since there is no propane tank on the property we called the land lord and asked what we needed do she told us to call around for propane, she said it shouldn't cost much. Long story short last winter we ended up not getting propane and used space heaters instead because it would of cost us 400 dolloars a month because we don't own we rent, now that we are expecting our first child we have to have propane. Any suggestions, I figure this is the best source of information!!

Find a 100 gallon tank on craigslist, pretty cheap. Thenb just keep it filled.

some propane places will bring you a tank as long as you use their service only...

if youre paying rent the landlord should foot the bill for the install imo

She has to provide you with heat. If there is a unit on the property but is not working, it has to be fixed and operational (tank installed). It is her reponsibility not yours. You jsut pay for the use of it.

I believe at one time there was a tank there is a line installed outside of the house, this is our first house so we have been trying to familiarize ourselves with it. For most of it we have been fine with but the heat situation has been crazy we talked to our next door neighbor who also rents one of her properties and she has electric heat

Actually alot of rental houses do not have owned tanks, so whoever moves into rent the place needs to call a supplier and have tanks delivered and filled. Most companies will charge you a monthly rental on the tank or tanks plus the cost to fill them.

Another option is to go to a Gas & Welding Supply store and buy a couple of Bottles and have them filled, then you can either have some deliver and fill the bottles or you can take them back to have them filled. All depends how you want to set it up.

But it is not up to the landlord to supply the bottles.
