    deer trail

Ok, I'm set up on a good deer trail. I wanted to put out a feeder, and it has yet to come in from Cabela's.

Last year I had good traffic without a feeder, but without any reason to stop there it was a little bit of a challenge to get them to stop. I did find Acorn Rage on the ground held them up some. Which is why I want to put the feeder out.

Now, it Sept 2 and feeder not expected to arrive until next Tuesday.

Should I even bother putting out a feeder since its taken so long to get and deploy?

    Hand corn should work great.

You will be fine. This is the time of yr deer spread out for the first time anyway. They will not know it just showed up. Good luck

If it takes longer than 2 to 3 weeks for your deer to get used to a feeder, assuming you will hunt the opener of bow season, you got bigger issues to deal with!!!
Or, just set feeder at a different location and like others said, just hand corn that trail when you go in to hunt it!!

just put it up, it won't take that long for them to get used to it. I have waited until 3rd week of sept to start throwing corn and killed does opening morning. set the feeder and hand corn on opening morning it the deer are using the trail they will find it,
              good luck

It all depends on your deer. I've hunted area's where the deer will hit a feeder the same day it is setup and I've hunted area's where it will take the deer a month or more to hit the feeder.

                    This^^

When it comes in, put it up. It won't hurt.

I think you'll be fine. Especially if there are already other feeders in the area. If there are, they already know what a feeder is and wont be spooked by it (for too long anyway)
