We had a few in our front yard this week. Just a few days off the nest.

I think it probably just gave up because it knew what was coming and wanted to go out on it own terms. or so thats what think.

I have anywhere from 10 to 30 whitewings in my back yard around the feeder each afternoon. However, I live in the city limits so they are safe from me.
