I went on a 3 hours trip with my dog and got down here put him in the shop with some water as soon as we got here so we could go to dinner.. When we got back he seems to not be able to walk without being in pain.. His back legs and maybe back seem to hurt him.. Kinda gets excited to see me but won't get off his side.. I know it could probably be 100 different things and its hard to say over the Internet but any help would be greatly appreciated.. 4year old chocolate lab..

Sorry to hear this, our cocker seemed to have the same symptoms, as the day went on she got progressively worse. We took her to the vet next day and she had ruptured her disk. Next day she had surgery in S.A. She's fine now but she's got a little hitch in her giddyup. Take her to the vet immediately.

Below is a short list of possible problems:
1) Back pain possibly from slightly bulging IV disc
2) Hip pain from overuse, and/or hip dysplasia (very common in labs) Will be especially problematic if dog is over weight.
3) Bladder stone that has left the bladder and lodged in the urethra (this is very possible) Is he urinating? Is he painful when you press his abdomen?
Either way, I would get him to your vet. Back and hip pain can probably be delt with using anti-inflammatories and pain meds. A blocked urethra will most likely require surgery, or at the very least sedation with urethral catheterization. Good luck
