DEAL ALERT ON FEEDERS....for those on a budget!!

i have 2 of them i would sell cheap. they both have upgraded legs steel poles to actually make it sit more than 2 feet off the ground. one has a hole chewed in the top lid

I must admit, I have a WGI feeder motor and that thing has never let me down. I was skeptical to buy it, but it's been pretty solid.

Their timers have a sensor in them that shuts it down if it senses high current draw as from a jammed spinner plate. Unfortunately, even a new motor and battery will cause it to shut down and it won't spin again until you "clear the jam"

I won't buy anything with WGI on it--

This must be the 6 volts that do this.
Never heard any problems like this from the 12 volts

The one my neighbor bought was made with the unit mounted to the side of the barrel like the one in the photo that Brockles has posted. It looks similar to the one the OP posted.

The one pictured is just an overlay picture letting you know what the timer for the feeder looks like. The timer goes inside of the motor box - not freestanding on the side of the barrel.

The one that I have the timer is under the barrel with a varmit cage around it. What you see mounted on the side is a solar panel for charging my battery.

Oh I just don't want to hear all the crap from the feeder/trail cam police on here. I actually haven't had any personal experience with WGI. A couple of guys on the lease actually have WGI lower units on some regular steel drums and they seem to work fine. I wouldn't think plastic barrels are the way to go....long term I mean?

Heck, to each his own. I am so cheap I still own a bunch of Igloo ice chests.....been looking for some Yeti stickers to put on them!!

Thanks for the gesture Mason but I'm just joking.....I'm not that vain. If I could get a hold of about 6-8 of them I would take you up on it just to poke fun at some of my friends.

I'm not a WGI fan but have used their timer in a unit and it has worked and held up fine. I think these would be great if you were in a pinch for a feeder and low on funds. Lord knows I am always low on funds.

I've wasted money on three of their trail cams. All are garbage.
