Ok. I have a Bohning fletching jig, probably not the best jig but affordable. How do you get a 2 degree offset accurately? With a helical clamp set parallel to the arrow or a straight clamp at set at an angle to the arrow? It makes sense to me that a 2 degree offset would be the purpose of a helical clamp. However, when looking at the helical clamp I can visualize how an offset would be created using a 4" inch vane, but when setting little, short 2" vanes the helical clamp seems to put them on straight. Any insight?

DWI, When I have tried to put a little helical on the blazer vanes, I did not have very much luck. The vane would not seat flat against the arrow shaft and it looked like crap. Now when i fletch the blazers, I use a straight clamp with slight off set and the results are mush better. BTW, I use a jo jan multi fletcher.

Blazers work well straight for target shooting but if you plan to bowhunt with Broadhead you need either an offset like 2% or a helical
A helical is not the same as 2% Offset
The helical wraps around the shaft like a Bitzenbergers clamp jib
A Straight clamp can fletch off set by moving the shaft in the jig to accept the 2% offset/
The Quick Spins have a curve in the vane and can be shot straight but every one I know still gives them a 2 % offset
