    blackened seasoning advise?

Not sure if this should be in the recipes folder or not. Need advice for blackened fish. Do you guys make you own seasoning or buy. If make, recipes? If buy, brands? What do you serve with? Thanks!

Here's what I use. Found it somewhere years ago and it is tasty!
      Blackened spice seasoning

      1 tablespoon paprika
      4 teaspoons dried thyme
      2 teaspoons onion powder
      2 teaspoons garlic powder
      1 tablespoon white sugar
      2 teaspoons salt
      1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
      1 teaspoon dried oregano
      1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
      3/4 teaspoon ground cumin

I use Cajun Blackening Magic. And love to serve it with ettouffe. Havnt tried anything else but this was good.

            Tiger Bait

            Tiger Bait

            Tiger Bait

and LSU had blackened money badger last year

I use REX blackened seasoning as Paul Prudhomme is the master and has his own line of Blackened Magic Cajun seasonings

As B mentioned above, you can make your own in bulk

I posted a recipe in the recipe section

If you don't top your meal with the Pontchartrain sauce your missing the boat big time

I've tried multiple brands of blackened seasoning but the best IMO is made by Cajun's Choice. I see you are in Collin Co so you can pick some up at your local Tom Thumb.

If you go with this and tell him "Roll Tide", your fish will not be very tasty!

Make my own.... Paul's Redfish Magic is pretty good stuff for a commercial seasoning though. Not as salty as the rest.
