    Abilene eats?

Wife and I are wanting to take a day trip to Abilene and are not familiar with anything around there. If you had to choose 1 restaurant, what would it be? We will be coming from Brownwood direction. Thanks

Lytle land and cattle, BeeHive down town, Cypress Street are all in Abilene. If you feel like driving 15 minutes to Buffalo gap just south of town go to Perini ranch is awesome, make reservations though.

Joe Allen's Steak House. I think he was the X of the Perinis, but I always stop here when I can. Best steaks and Fajitas ever!

Everybody needs to eat at Perini's at least once in their life. Copper Creek is also very good.

If you like cheap, hole in the wall dive Mexican food, then go to La Popular on Pine at N. 16th and get the carne guisada (with cheease) and a large lemonade. Good stuff.

La Popular for breakfast. Skip lunch b/c you'll be too full. Beehive for dinner.
