Anyone use a removable frnt mt winch?

I'm considering adding a receiver hitch to the front of my truck so I can slide in a winch when off on hunting trips etc. I have found a bracket by "Curt" that will be rather easy to install. Getting my son to make a portable cradle for the actual winch. Has anyone done this before, used it? Any advice appreciated, pros/cons, regrets, etc. Thanks

Have not done it myself but see lots of things geared toward this type of winch use

done it on 4 wheelers and a full size Blazer and now my Mule...and have the set up close to finished on my truck..the Curt was easy to install..and there is NO slop in the fit. I figure I got stuck driving in, that aint the way to pull my self out!

Great.... Run wire in heavy duty conduit or over time it can short out on the frame. That's the only com I know of.

I have my golf cart rigged so that I can move the winch from front to back. Wiring took some time but I got it all figured out. Too hard to explain how I did it.
