    those are great eating, and I had no idea they lived on the texas coast. we caught a ton of them in the bahamas while we were trying to bonefish

      You can catch them on the upper Texas Coast from August till around October.

              Nice haul definately good eating, those suckers got some nasty fangs on them. I always find them near rocky structure catch em on Dead shrimp or live mullet on a small treble hook.

                    We caught 36 last week at the fishing center in POC. They were all caught on live and dead mullet. The kids were cat catching them at the end of the boat ramp by the gas pumps. The kids & I had a blast. I did not even have to launch my boat.

                      Best inshore fish along coast. As said above Crappie of the coast.
