customize a knife

anybody ever customized a case knife or something like this. I have two of the same knife... long story haha but I was thinking I may take one apart do some file work and custom handles. how would you take it apart what all do I need other than the handle material would you just epoxy them on? lots of questions

I would not destroy a Case knife.

Go buy you a cheap flea market knife and take it apart so you can see what`s involved . It`s not as easy as you may think .If it goes as you planned , then do the case . Or you may decide it`s not worth it . Also file work on hardened steel is not that easy to do .
