    Wireless Thermometer

It's time to replace the old camp thermometer with a new one and was thinking of buying a wireless indoor/outdoor model. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with them and if so what do you recommend? What has worked for you the best. Thanks in advance for your input.

The one I purchased at lowes didn;t last but about 6 months. I think the rain had something to do with it.

Check them out if they look like they can be exposed to the elements like rain move on to the next one.

        Gander thermometer

I've bought about 4 of the ones from Gander Mountain in camo, have 1 at home, 1 at the lease and gave one to both of my parents. Other than having to replace the batteries every 6 months or so they work great. I think I got them on sale for $10 (reg $20)

I have not replaced the one I purchased. The one I had utilized two aaa batteries one for the inside thermometer and the transmitter for the outside.

The two were purchased at Lowes the transmitter had a red light on it and the receiver showed both the outside and inside temps.

They were white relatively small about the size of a miniture pager and inexpensive.

          I don't remember the brand.

Make sure you tie down the transmitter somewhere. We had one and something ran off with the transmitter we had thrown on a ledge. Loved knowing how cold I was going to get in the stand....lol

I got a combo clock and temperature (both indoor and outdoor) at Sam's Club. I have one at the office and at the lease. It's an atomic clock, alarm clock and gives the indoor and outdoor temp.

                      Similar to this one: http://skyscan.info/content/index.ph...d=37&Itemid=40

I love having one at the deer lease, I don't have to run outside in my boxers to see what kind of clothes I need to wear for the morning hunt....I think the other folks in camp like that I don't have to run outside in my boxers either....LOL

Thanks for all the information passed on. In the past I have made first time purchases and sometimes suffered the consequences. Thanks to all of your input I hope to avoid that pitfall.
