Axis Attractant

Just curious, what attracts axis the best? I've always wanted to have a chance at one. I have heard that alfalfa works really well, is there anything else that will bring em in?

Ive put multiple bails out of alfalfa with no luck. Set up a protein feeder and they are all over it like crazy.

Right now water is the best attractant! Hunt water holes and troughs.

My uncle uses sweet feed in Sonora and it works like a charm they don't even move when you get out of the blind.

An elk cow call might help too.

Sweet feed. Purina textured 17% deer feed works good. Chafhay works good. It will help to pre bait the area a few days before hunting.
