Water snake. They're mean and it would still die if on my back porch. 99% of all injuries by this snake happen from tripping over crap trying to back pedal.

No matter what type of snake it is I see a BIG problem.....

The pattern on the side suggest blotched water snake. Not a cottonmouth.
