    iphone update and wifi

anyone else have issues with the 6.1.3 os and wifi? the wife updated her iphone 4s and our daughters 4 and the wifi shows "unable to connect" at our house. it sees the network, asks for the code then "unable to connect. been doing some internet reading and its all over and completely random, seemed to start with os 6. folks seeing it work in a few places, several places it fails. i have reset the router, tried a doz different settings on the router, wep, wpa, no code, tried each wireless type individually. tried different channels. we have reset the phones numerous times. on the wifes phone we wiped all data and settings, back to factory settings, set it up as new and it started working again. our daughters still nada. over the weekend we were at some relatives and both connected to the relatives wifi fine. back home our daughters phone fails to join the wifi. anyone experienced this and been able to find a fix?

My first iPhone 5 worked fine for a while, then after an update about 6 mo ago the wifi stopped working reliable. It would get the same thing, unable to join random networks (and lots of them). I tried everything software wise and the only solution was taking it to the apple store and getting another one.

Apples QA team is doing as well what their stock is... Go figure.

How long ago did this update come out? Because I have yet to get it. Any major differences?

Forgot to post the fix I found...
I changed the wifi broadcast name to something new in the router and the trouble was cured. Just had to go on the rest of our devices and tell em to attach to the new wifi name.

this is the same old story, every time a new phone comes out.....
when a new phone comes out, a new ios comes out....and it's built for the new phone and made 'somewhat' compatible for the old hardware...and I personally believe, intentionally makes some older hardware barely function, work slower and in some instances, made to not function....why you may ask...well, most people have been anticipating the new phone for months and been getting po'd at their phone all the while...and anything apple can do to push you toward dumping another chunk of change on a new phone, they do....

same old song and dance...happens twice every year, like clockwork

had the same exact thing happen with the 3 or 3gs...worked fine, update, poof, no more wifi..
