    I got it licked now!

Well ladies and gentlemen, after 14 years of a pack a day smoking habit, I am all but certain that I am officially quit!
Today starts the third week without the nasty things! I have tried to quit several times before to no avail, always having some sort of excuse as to why I needed or simply wanted one. This time has been completely different, completely cold turkey, and its been easier than ever! I just quit buying them and dont hang around the guys at work when they take a smoke break.
Its simply amazing how different things taste and smell just after two weeks, and my workouts have gotten much more productive( I've actually lost weight since I quit!)
Looking forward to a smoke free life!

You are past the physical addiction to nicotine, the withdrawel symtoms should be over. The psychological addiction is still there so don't let your guard down. Keep avoiding situations that would allow you to slip

Congrats, I went cold turkey over 10 years ago. I had a 2 plus pack a day habit. You can do it.

                              Good job botha

I'm going on six weeks, I simply started running 12-14 miles a week and working out. Now the smell of one disgusts me!
