Thanks for the support gang. The Doc just came out and said that he had to do a little bit of work on this one. He basically said that the bone structure on the L-5 was shot and that the two screws that he had put in a month ago had nothing to adhere to (I wonder why) so he had to continue down to the S-1 and S-2 to install more screws. He also said that the nerve channel on the L-5 was in pretty bad shape as well (I wonder why again) and that he had to open it up to relieve the pressure. He never would directly say that the fall was the cause (just covering his arse) but you could sense his displeasure with the whole process of how things were handled. Round 2 surgery is over and the recovery process begins again. Now the question is. Who is going to foot the bill?
Bobby,
I think they missed them on the pre-op because they were not broken (so the report says). I think they became broken when he was "dropped" a couple days after his surgery.
Kev,
Yea, most dont have many more in them after they reach 80. Dad turned 80 in Jan.
