I finally got my elk scored today. It was scored by Alan Young of Godley, man what a nice guy and his wife was as sweet as they get. I can't say enough good things about them.
Anyway, I had taped the elk at 269 1/4. To enter p&y it has to be 260, so I had 9+ inches. Well, after it was scored officially it ended up at 260 1/8. I measured wrong, won't do that again but now I know better.
Thanks again to Alan for all his time and explainations and thans to my bro-inlaw who helped me pack him the mile and a half out.
