I have spit out of my tree stand for years and so has my dad. Anything from wintergreen to Copenhagen. Doesn't seem to bother them.

      Depends on the pigs...

My pigs will freak out at any new or different smell in the area...guess that's because I've killed so many of their kin!!!

A few years ago we trapped a hog out at the lease and got him in the trailer. Not 10 minutes after we moved him from trap to trailer one of our lease members pulled a big ol wad of wintergreen out of his mouth and threw it on the floor of the trailer. That dip barely had time to hit the floor and the pig immediately walked over to it and ate it! I haven't worried to much about having one in the stand since then.
