We have asked the same question as to why it is taking so long. We do call Hoyt to check status's on orders, but all they will tell us is that is still in processing and "when" it is supposed to ship. we told you 2-3 weeks because that's how most orders have been the last 2 months. We can only go off the recent time on orders. If I had to guess, they probably are not producing Vectors at the same rate they did in 2012 due to the Spyders release. Call tomm and I will personally get you the best info I can about your bow. I feel like myself and the other technician and Eddie Sullivan have worked extremely hard to make sure out customers get the help they need and I haven't seen a negative issue come up in quite some time. I know in retail its hard to make everyone happy, but we try our best to do so. There are guys telling you to find another shop and I think its wrong to make the decision before you come in and see what we are about. This is not a jab to start an argument, but it is me defending out shop and service.
I definitely understand. This thread was to see if this is a normal thing. I'm pretty sensitive with my purchases, so I wanted to make sure I am doing the right things. I have no intentions of taking my business elsewhere. Y'all have been nothing but patient with my constant questions. I will be calling tomorrow to check in and see what is up.

Btw this is Gerard Marcaurele, and I can't wait to come up to the shop and shoot my new bow!!! Also, I learned how to serve in a peep myself, and I think I may try and do it under y'all's supervision so I don't mess it up.

I completely understand your concern, but just understand that when bow companies get backed up, we get backed up as well and as much as we dislike that, its just how it is at times. This is a very busy time of the year for the entire archery industry. I can guarantee you I will do my best to make this situation right on both ends. Call tomm and Ask for Jon Macias, ill get you taken care of the best that I can given the situation.

And this is why I deal with Sullivan's outfitters. They truly care.

This is a perfectly acceptable and understandable explanation of the situation - far different than what the OP posted he was told on the phone.

I think that if the OP had been given this explanation when he called your shop, this thread would never have been started, in the first place. I know that had the OP stated that this was the answer he received when he called, I would not have suggested a shop change. My reply was based on the info that was posted, and the totally vague and unhelpful answer that he posted as the shop's reply to his inquiry.

In any case, I'm glad it all worked out and was just a case of poor, or misunderstood, communication. Sounds like a stand-up shop to deal with.

Ok I'm just gonna set the record straight here for anyone who thinks I am complaining about Sullivan's. I have no problem with their service, it was the simple fact that it was taking longer than normal and Hoyt did not provide much info. Jon at Sullivan's called Hoyt himself and found out the bow had to be guilt when the order came in, and that is what took so long. I am more than pleased with the service sullivans has given me, and I'm sad to be leaving College Station and not get to hang out in the shop anymore. I did not mean to start any bad mojo or anything. I highly recommend sullivans to anyone in the B/CS area looking for a shop!

And that is why my standard answer on bow orders is 6-8wks. It happens and a good shop will take care of you just like they have.
