I have a customer that borrows my forklift to unload pallets off a 18 wheeler. Nothing major just landscape material and rocks. He comes and gets it and drives it just under a 1/2 mile each way. Usually only is gone 30 mins. No more than a hour. Since he is a customer I am not gonna stick it to him and he expects to pay for using it. How much per trip should I charge ?

I wouldn't charge anything. Goodwill goes a long way. I might ask him to fill the tank every once in a while.Comment

At least $50 and up to $100 would be my range. Make sure he has insurance to cover it while in his possession, you don't want anything coming back at you. (This ain't the good neighbor world we grew up in.)Comment

I would try to stay neighborly with it, You may need something from him one day, And you did mention he is a customer, maybe fuel or a meal every now and then
