I was out at a buddy's ranch a couple of weekends ago and he had traced the buckle of his Tundra on the back of an old CD case, cut it out and inserted it into the receiver. No more dings. Pretty ingenious I thought.

For F150's: With your truck on, just insert the belt in the buckle and release it at least three times in rapid succession. That will keep it from dinging until you turn the truck off again.

            I have a "fat-boy" seat belt extender.

My dealer gave it to me for free.

            No ding.

Give this a try... It's been about 6 years since I've done one, but I think I remember.

Get in truck and close all doors
Insert key and turn to On position without starting truck
Wait for seatbelt light to come on, and then go off
Buckle and unbuckle seat belt 9 times within 30 seconds
                Seatbelt light will flash
Then buckle and unbuckle one more time.

If that doesn't work, I'm sure Google knows how to do it.

I did the same. I cut the extra strap off of it so all that remains is the buckle. When I get to the land or lease I pull the buckle out of the console and plug it in. No more ding ding. The extender was free at the dealership.

I not only turned off the belt chime, I also found a way to disable the automatic 5mph door locks on my Tacoma. Turning those off is a must for cruising the lease/ranch.
