I was told a lad wont stop shedding or grow up till they die. All kidding aside at about 2 mine calmed down "somewhat". He never chewed up everything. He was real bad with a couple of phones, a remote or two, some sneakers and pillows. He still will get bored and destroy something on occasion but I have made it a routine to get down on his level and rough house with him to wear him out.

I had a chocolate lab for 10 years and he never put a tooth into anything I owned. I had leather furniture with wood legs and I always expected to wake up and one of the legs would be chewed off of the couch but he never touched anything.

I now have an Australian Shepherd that I will match up to your lab puppy and we can see which one can destroy the most stuff. I have to watch him like a hawk and I still can't catch him all of the time. He's a great dog but he has to be chewing on something. When I take him to the ranch he will chew on mesquite sticks or anything else he can find. And he is 1 1/2 years old now.

Buy them the rawhide bones, give them plenty to chew on and they should leave the other stuff alone
