Help viewing pictures with windows 8

I haven't figured out my new laptop. Trying to view all my pics off my SD card but I have to escape out of each one and go back. Anyone know how to get it to let me just use the arrows to scroll?

I just clicked on files/then clicked on the SD file and I can see them all in thumbnails, but if I click on one I have the escape out of it and go back to the thumbnails

I'm following this. I have been going crazy trying to figure out how to view them and delete as well. Why do they have to change it up!

if you have the picture open in photo and move the mouse you should see some arrows on the side of the screen. If you right click it brings up options at the bottom to delete the photos

ok here ya go. This will bring up the photo viewing program that will allow you to do what you need.

From the desktop, load the Control Panel.

Right-click the screen’s bottom-left corner and choose Control Panel from the pop-up menu.

When the Control Panel opens, click the Programs category. Click Default Programs and then click Set Your Default Programs.

The Set Default Programs window appears.

From the left pane, click Windows Photo Viewer. Then select Set This Program As Default and click OK.

That tells Windows Photo Viewer to open all of your photos, bypassing the Start screen’s Photos app.
