    Do you use game cameras?

Just wondering who here doesn't use them or who does. I use to a couple years ago, but I got tired of them crapping out on me all the time, and I was tired of the constant trips back to academy to replace them. So I just quit using them, and I have to say I kinda like the surprise every year now wondering what's going to show up. The place I hunt is included in an MLD level 1 program, so every year about this time I spend a lot of time out there counting an seeing what I have, so I get a little bit of an idea of what to expect and what to look for, but not knowing every morning I sit out there what will show up keeps me on the edge I guess. The place I hunt isn't that big so it's not like I have a ton of deer to watch.

Not knowing what will show up is the other half.

I'm like you I guess. Mine took a dump on me and I've never replaced it.

I tinker with an old 2.5 Mp camera. Sometimes it works works sometimes not. But I have fun with it.

I like the added three months trail camera season adds to my hunting season.....Every trip to the lease is like Christmas even in the summer during work weekends.

I think where they really shine is for those on limited hunt weekends and days that have numerous blinds and live far from your lease. It helps you narrow down areas to hunt with a good deer so you maximize every hunt of the weekend.

I love my cameras. I'm running 4 and one that texts pics as it takes them.

I think it's a necessity to have for serious management purposes
