At first I thought it was a harlequin bug because of the shape, but have never seen one with those colors

The gold really got me. Looked like real gold and had me thinking of trying to catch a bunch and meltin them down...

Well it's black and gold with markings that almost look like Fleur-de-lis, I'd say it's a beetle that's a huge Saints fan with poor drawing skills

But on a serious note, it is a tortoise beetle
