      You are only talking a year without permanent power. Get a small gen and "fancy camp", run the A/C and just a couple small wattage lights. Not like u need to do surgery. Ice chests instead of the fridge, paint your water totes black and ditch the water heater. Cook on a propane camp stove.

      You could use the money u save on the generator and fuel to possibly get power sooner.

        You really need to add up your appliances, but if you change to a propane water heater, and stove you can save a bunch of watt/amp needs. Also use low wattage light bulbs, fluorescents. Careful not to oversize your window AC. I put a 24K btu ac in a 600 sq ft bedroom and it was too big. Humidity would stay too high in the room..
