    Okra, green chile, and venison

Any of our resident cooks have a good recipe using okra, green chile, and venison? Our little square foot garden is producing and I want to combine the goods! I love the idea of preparing a complete meal with ingredients I hunted, grew, and harvested.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like the makings of a good stew.

Chicken fry the venison, put chopped roasted green chili's in homemade gravy and cut okra into 1/2" peices and sautee in olive oil with chopped onion and garlic.

        Amen!!!!

Or pickle the okra with jalapenos and smoke the venison slightly then cut them into steaks. Grill the venison steaks to your liking (med rare for me) and make a green chile and sweet onion relish to garnish the steaks!!!! I will have 1 coors light with mine please!!!!
        What time we eatin!!!

I'd grill the venison, caramelize some onions, sautee the chiles with some garlic and top the venison. Fry the okra . Maybe a baked potato or homemade mac and cheese or pasta salad.

Sear the venison on all sides, turn heat down, slice it up and some wine sauce to top, make green chile mac n cheese or green chile cheese grits, with some fried okra.
