I need a Small Engine Mechanic in Flower Mound (North DFW area)

Our power washer will not run unless we keep shooting gas into the carb.

Not sure where the blockage is, need to go see a Pro.

Any recommendations in the Flower Mound or similar DFW area?

    Thanks

Set up for a while, did it ??

You have gasoline evaporated out of the float bowl and has gunked up the tiny ports that the fuel has to flow through to get to the combustion chamber.
Any lawn mower shop can fix if you don't want to do it yourself.
    Good luck !!

Yep, it was setting for awhile without Stabil.

Actually tore it down (as much as I wanted too)
and cleaned out all the easy parts.
That is how we got it to run some of the time.

Thanks Humper, I will have to look them up.

          Yup! Good shop!

Usually have to wait a while but they do good work.

It seems every shop in the Flower Mound/Lewisville area has a waiting list. I took some stuff over the the shop off 407 near 2499 and they did a good job but I had to wait about 45 days. I will look into Lowerys next time.

If the carb is gunked up, that is an easy fix.

Go to a parts store, and buy the following:
              1 gallon Berryman Carb dip/cleaner ($20)
1 can of Carb cleaner spray ($5)

Pull the carb off the washer
              Completely disassemble the carb
Soak parts in Berryman for an hour.
              Spray with carb cleaner
              Blow clean with compressed air

Inspect to see that all the build-up is gone from the float and float-bowl. You may have to scrape some off, then re-soak in cleaner.

              Re-assemble carb, and re-install.
              Start Engine.

I do this all the time. After you do it once, it is easy.

                          Dropped it off last Saturday,
They said they thought it would be done by Thursday.
(Wednesday PM got an e-mail saying it was ready).

Picked it up this AM and good to go.
Little over $40 and she's good as new!

Like said, the small ports are clogged. Take a bread tie out and pull the plastic off and use the small metal wire out and stick it into the holes. Works every time. Thats what i did with my small push mower.
