I'm not seeing the connection between making a poor choice of where to practice and a 'loss of interest in hunting.' What does one have to do with the other? Seems like getting in a car wreck and saying, 'I've lost all my interest in going to work.' Lol!

Just looking at all the people who posted 'oopsies' when shooting in their suburban back yards, it seems pretty obvious it's not a great idea. As someone else posted, I was always under the impression that most municipalities have ordinances against shooting bows in back yards. Seems like a pretty smart rule.

Glad the result wasn't worse than just a big bill to pay - it sure could have been.

When I lived in the city I put the target by my house with a piece of plywood behind it. I would stand at the back corner and shoot toward my house. That way if I missed, it would hit mine instead fo the neighbors. Had a nock break causing an arrow to go into the plywood. Luckily that was my only close call. You might want to reverse where you stand and your target so you don't hit their house again.
