My Mom's house in Temple, but since she is the only one at home now, she does not cook much unless I am there and I will not be there until Friday late of early Saturday.

Actually another would be at my wife's Dad's house. He is an awesome cook. Great at chicken fry and fries and his steaks are to die for. Unfortunatley he does not cook unless there is a crowd on the weekends or for church!

I went to millers and got there at 6:45 and saw that they closed at 6:30. I then drove by schoepf's, but they looked way too crowded. I ended up going to the Taqueria Mexicano which is right in front of the hotel I was in. It was pretty good and cheap for what I got. Click image for larger version

Thanks for all the recommendations, I will try some of them out the next time I'm down there.

I just saw this thread. Taqueria is where I would have advised you to begin with. When I was in school there we would eat there a couple times a week. Probably the best quesadillas I've eaten anywhere.

I'm with Randal on the Little Mexico idea. Best anywhere.
