    'merica???

Can anyone explain this too me? I see it everywhere now and I don't know if there is something behind it or if we have just gotten so lazy that we can't say America anymore...it has been annoying me to see because I'm afraid it's the later. Please explain if there is something behind this...

Oh come now! Surely spelling words correctly isn't that big a deal, is it? Just ask some of our members.

I agree with you, but fortunately I haven't seen it. I'd be tempted to add an "A" to the sign or ask "where's 'merica."

George W. Bush's accent often sounded like he was saying 'Merica instead of America. I know people used it when making fun of him or impersonating him. I'm assuming that is where it is from.

I think it's a blend of how W. says it and the way South Park portrays rednecks saying it.

It's a sign of blue collar worker as opposed to stuffy pressed white shirt and tie. it points to the roots of our founding or hard work, dirty hands, sweat laden clothing and building a strong country. its the backbone of the culture of the middle class and farm businesses across this great land. it's pride.

this has nothing to with the "x" in "xmas".

I've seen it on Twitter for a few months and then a buddy said it in a text. I told him, I think you're making fun of yourself and you don't even know it.

Isn’t that how Earl Pitts says it?…the guy who says…. "Wake up America!!!" Sounds like Merica.
