Just got my new-to-me tripod all setup this weekend at the property. Got up in it and spent a few hours sitting in it that evening watching the critters come in. I got to thinking that I should bring my target up and do some practice shooting from the new tripod. I practice from the sitting position all the time in the backyard but I can't recall ever having setup targets at my stand. Anyone else practice shooting from their stand on location???

Yep, just went up to my place to fill the feeder and put some finishing touches on a ladder stand up there. The final check was to climb up, hoist up the bow, make sure everything was in place, and then fling a few arrows down at a bag target setup in my shooting lane. I have a couple of shooting lanes, so I had to get down and move the target and go up a couple of times in order to feel confident in the setup. Less than 2 months to go, and I'm ready!

I practice about 10-15 arrows at 20 and 30 yards from all my elevated blinds; i have 2
16ft tripods and a 16ft ladder stand.
I find that shooting from an elevated stand takes a little bit to get my form correct; mianly remembering to bend/shift at the waist. I have not had to re-tune or sight my bow in for my elevated stands.
