Have packed up and moved away! After getting out of the service and all the good friends have PCSed or got out and went home... I'm stuck in this area and bored out of my freakin mind! My wife and son are great and we have a ton of fun together! However we always enjoy the company of friends... Dang growing up sucks! Lol

I know how you feel. Moved to new area about 2 yrs ago and have only made 1 good friend. I have my Wife and son, which I am very thankful for, but everyone needs some kind of outlet. Hang in there and yes growing up sucks... lol

I think I only have 1 or 2 good friends since I've gotten married and had kids. Now my wife has more friends than I could ever imagine, but I have different stipulations than she on what makes a friend.

I grew up in a town of 900 people. Had the same group of friends for 20 years! Joined the Army and moved to TX. Got into a small unit of 38 soldiers. It was like a family. Now almost everyone I knew in that unit is gone... My best friend just got out and went back to FL. The wife and I bought a RV and would love to find people our age to hang out with. Seems the RV crowd is OLD! :O lol I said it.... Lets see where this goes now!

Let me know if you guys ever plan a RV camping trip to New Braunfels. We are planing to do lots of camping here when it cools off a bit. My 4 year old daughter and I actually talked with you guys at the benefit for Amanda.

yeah, the military has a way of making everyone distant. I met some good people in the military and because of the military but we were always torn apart. going in I left all my family and freinds.

I was in texas for a while as a family man and had 2 good freinds. one was getting ready to leave texas anyway because he is still military. The other will probably never leave texas unless his wife takes his truck and hides it in another state.

But, I moved back to michigan now. have more family here to hang out with now. still lacking on the friends department. Got a few people to catch up with. BUT, some of them I may not want to catch up with! might be better to make new ones!

The growing up part does suck. SO, you know how I cope?! I buy toys! I got a few I am eye balling right now. just want to start a job before I start drawing out of savings!
