Ok, I've never been duck hunting . Had some invites but never worked out to go. I see guys killing lots of birds but they don't mention eating them. How many of the birds you kill do you really eat ? & are they any good ? Thanks

Most all ducks are delicious if prepared right. If someone says they arent tastey, then they need to let someone else do the cooking.

I was out Saturday morning, we didn't shoot enough to brag about, but ill be honest I sure did see enough birds down to brag about. We talked to some other hunters at the ramp and they shot the same as us, and saw a ton. Saw quite a few pins, and mottle ducks also.
It would be opening day without being stopped by the states finest. The people that got to the ramp before us got a ticket but couldn't tell what it was for.

This second weekend of teal season may be pretty decent. Got the first "cold front" if that's what you want to call it, coming through the end of this week, but its supposed to die out at some point. So maybe it will push a few more birds south! Winter is upon us, now all we need is an artic front and we will good to go.
