    Need Official Tournament Washer Rules

I know we've got some professional washer players on here. I've looked on the web and keep getting conflicting rules. I've never played in a washer tournament, but would like to get a pit set up as a tournament would be set up. I know different tournaments probably play different rules, but I'd like to know the most common. I'm talking about single hole pit washers, not with a board.

    I need the following:
    • Distance between center of the holes (I've seen 22.5' and 25')
    • Size of Washers (I've seen 2" and 2.5")
    • Size of Cups (I've seen 4", but that seems awful big)
    • Scoring (I've seen 1 & 5 with no leaners, but everyone I talk to plays with leaners)
    • Quantity of Washers (I've seen 2 or 3 per turn)
    • Order of Throwers (Last to score throws first?)
    • Bust/No Bust? (Do you bust if you score more than 21? If so, what do you go down to? In pit washers I've never played to where you bust.)
    • Anything else???

Also, how should the pit be set up?

And if there is a GOOD website with all this info, just tell me and I'll go read it there.
    Thanks in advance!

C'mon, I know the green screen has an expert or two...this can't be the only topic an expert can't chime in on!

Go to the Bombat washer website, they have the rules that you can print off.
I always played 21' to center of cup.
Closest washer is 1, leaner is 3 and hole in one is 5.
        Three washers each.
        Bust goes back to 11.

I play house rules, whatever they may be, picked this theory up playing beer pong in college and stuck with it
          No websites or manuals

Same rules I play by. Have pitched in numerous tourneys. Some play 4 washers but I am old school.

                We have always played
                Distance 21' hole to hole.
                Hole size 3.5"
                Washers -4 each
Scoring - cancel scoring. IE I put one in the whole (5pts) other guy puts 2 on board. Total score is 3 for me.
Rally Scoring every washer on the board or in the hole counts. House sets the rule.
                Points 1-on the board
                3- leaning into hole
                5- in hole
Just makes the game go faster.
                Play to 21.

We play 21' center to center, 4" hole, 3" washers, 4 each
Closest washer(s) are 1, leaning or not. Washers in the hole are 3. Hole shots can be canceled.
Washers in the hole and washers out are scored separately
Highest score from the last set of throws goes first, priority on hole shots
                  Play to 21, no bust.

All tourneys I've played have been 2x2 board 3" hole 3 washers, 2 3/4" washer 21' center cup to center cup. Play 1-3-5 no bust. Highest scoring washer on board gets point ie one in the hole beats out a leaner, and if each team had one in the hole they'd cancel out and you go with next closest.

no leaners round here. 21' center throwing 4 washers
no bust, last to score throws first

Same rules and dimensions we use. Also the same rules used in the sanctioned Texas Firefighter Olympics held each summer. I put in pits in my back yard las year. I will see if I can get pics posted.
