Corn futurs will start dropping once the 2013 crops start coming in or they won't have room for the corps. It really depends on what your willing to pay for corn Flakes, also why don't groups of you get together and buy a ton of it direct from the elevator, thats where you should get a break. If you think your going to see a big drop at the store for a few bags not going to happen too many hands in the pot. Buy it by Volume and you should get a better pricing. Remember these guys sell by bushel Truck, train loads not 50# bags

Gonna be headed down soon... Anybody have good prices in my area? I can wait if it's still 10 bucks per 50 here.

I think we need to get a few groups together and go buy a few tons and split it up, it would be worth a 50 mile drive to meet and divide it up. Buying it from retailers is going to vary by what they want to make off it. Also it is just about time to start picking, could go right out to the field and ask farmer to fill up your truck or 30 gal cans for some cash in hand...Never Know

It went as high as $11 a bag last year in my area and now at the same places it is $7.50 a bag. A 32% savings is enough that I would call it a big drop.

Never thought I would be happy to find corn for $7.50 a bag. It seems like just yesterday that we were complaining about it going from $2.50 up to $3.00 a bag.

It's already dropping at the store level across the state. While there may be too many hands in the pot, there is this wonderful equalizer called competition and if they want to sell what they got, they'll drop the price or watch somebody across town that does, sell all theirs and then some.

No problem. That is what this thread is about.

Smart is right. The "middle easterners" at the corner store will have 2 choices. Drop thier price or eat it. Personally I hope they have to eat it.

Yes, the market made a huge circle, just like markets do.
