Public utility question

In most towns, do water and electric lines run along major roads? I'm assuming that the electric runs underground since there are no wires overhead and the area is fairly new in development. Also, I see large electric boxes located about every block. Is this a safe assumption?

not necassarily, the utility easment may be anywhere. if you are planning on digging call 811 first and they will locate all utilites for free.

not digging. Just wondering if there is water and electric near road. Hoping there is water and electric nearby, so I don't have to spend alot running utilities to possible business.
