    I have a intrastate/interstate DOT question

Looking to take a track loader to Colorado, and the driver I use has intrastate DOT #'s. What do we need to do, to haul this equipment out of state?

Can't seem to get a live person at any of the State and Federal phone numbers I have called.

Depending on size and weight unless things have changed you'll have to get oversized permits and routings from Texas, NM and Colorado.

So you are saying he only has a Texas DOT number on is truck? You will need permits from some states to transport that machine on their hiways. He will also need to have an IFTA sticker on his truck.

Why is he "Intrastate"? Physical waiver resatriction maybe?

TXDOT numbers are gone away and all trucks require USDOT numbers now.

For permitiing you will need to call each state he will travel in or through and secure a permit.

US DOT #'s, but was registered as Intrastate, not Interstate.

Rig will be a F550 with a 40' 30,000# gooseneck. Machine is an old Case 1000D. Weight of machine is 24,000#'s set up as a loader.

You need to be aportioned registration with the driver having non-exempt interstate DL. You can get temporary registration and permits from http://txpros.txdmv.gov/. If he registered his DOT # and vehicles as combination that do not go over I think 150 miles of operation, I can give you a # to the DOT to change that.
