What have y'all seen that works best for a floating duck blind? I've thought about 55 gal drums but I'm worried about stability. The blind itself will be 6x15 and will hunt 5 guys and a dog. Any input is welcome.

We built one a few years ago using 18" HDPE pipe with fusion-welded caps on the end. Built what was effectively a 6man layout blind on it with 3 spring-loaded flip-up tops. It was very low profile, easy to hide and comfortable to hunt out of. Blind was 20' long, six foot wide and sat about 24" out of the water. It was a pain to move, but once you got it in place it was awesome. We got on another lease where we don't need it, so it sits unused. I'll try to get some pics to post up in the next few days.

8 barrels will float it enough to hold 5 guys. We built boat hides off ours on barrels to help stabilize it as well. Old dock foam blocks work better but nutria love em. The fanciest we ever made were from roll off dumpsters w a railroad tie deck around it and garage door tracks to slide open the roof. Those are expensive though.
