I know this is super complicated and REALLY don't want this to turn into a nuked thread, so 'try' to keep this very heavy topic with well & though out Replies. Read twice, click once.
Please ignore & keep the obvious comments meant to throw gas on the fire to burn out on their own. Do not quote an obvious trap.
Keep this 'light hearted' as possible & we will understand your position, I promise...being blunt will whack it and adds no value. I honestly would love to hear the thought process from some people hear who are much more articulate than I and i really do need to get out of my tunnel vision / trigger happy thoughts and wrap my head around what the implications are here. Certainly, I cannot be the only one smh over this.
1. Why would the admin announce it at the top of the mountain and not be more descrete about the closings...is this to let all the Americans/friendlies who are traveling in the region understand the severity, or am I over thinking / missing this in your face approach. I feel like this brazen announcement could be harmful / backfire to all connected with the embassies, the good guy /gals tourists & all our warriors. I just got a weird feeling & sticks in my craw. Can't figure out why.
2. I kinda dig saying adios IF I ONLY think of our warriors in the region and these closings will indeed have one less concern and better use of the most valuable resources / assests we Americans value in the war torn area.
3. I still don't like the appearance of tuck tail and run and maybe just a pride factor as ^#2^ and the saving of one life well outweighs another attack. Guess we will never know how serious this threat from el caca really was.
4. The whole area is a time bomb...while I throw up in my mouth a little every time someone discredits what happened in benghazi, I cannot help but consider this a good move even if self serving. Although i will never understand why any America would want to go visit a place where most of the natives hate you, I do have some concerns if they are not on a plane headed back now.
5. What are the real implications of these closing and the short / long term outcome?? This is pretty crazy, is it not??
