I know this has been brought up, but can't pull anything up with the search function. My brother is interested in a rifle but thinks he wants to check numbers first. As in if its stolen or not. Can anyone help ?

That would be a correct assumption. He doesn't want someone tracking him down. He has a family. No need to put them in jeopardy. He may have backed out all together now. He is paranoid.
